Bonus photograph of a Pileated Woodpecker along the trail. Everyone thought I’d spotted another bear when I exclaimed “Wait, stop the car!” I saw that unmistakable flash of red up in the trees, and I wasn’t about to miss my chance at documenting this lifer.
